A Southern California native, Charrisse earned dual degrees in Sociology and Black Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She later received her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she consistently earned Dean’s List honors and held leadership positions in the Student Bar Association and Black Law Students Association at both the local and regional levels.
